Can I print directly from Enoch File?

Not directly, and by design. Enoch File hands printing off to the app that a file naturally belongs to — Adobe or your PDF reader for PDFs, Microsoft Word for Word documents, your photo viewer for images, and so on. Native apps know how to render their own formats with the fidelity, layout controls, page-range options, and print settings you’d expect from each. Printing through a generic in-browser viewer would produce a lower-fidelity copy without those controls. Handing off to the native app gives you the more accurate print and more control over the final product.

The steps below work the same way whether you’re on a desktop, laptop, phone, or tablet. What differs is your printer setup, not Enoch File.

Download and print

1. Open Enoch File on the device you want to print from.
2. Click or tap the 💾 icon next to the file to download it. See How to download files from Enoch File for the full walkthrough.
3. Open the downloaded file — it’ll launch in the app associated with that file type on that device.
4. Use that app’s own Print command (usually under the File menu on a computer, or the share/print button on a phone or tablet) and pick your printer.

About your printer

The download-and-print flow above works for every printer type. Your device handles the connection, not Enoch File.

• USB-connected printers — most commonly a printer plugged directly into a desktop or laptop. Prints from whichever computer it’s connected to.
• Wireless printers — visible to any device (desktop, laptop, phone, or tablet) that’s on the same Wi-Fi network. Handy when the file you want to print is on your phone and the printer is across the room.

If you’re on a phone or tablet and your printer is USB-only on a computer somewhere, the fastest path is usually to open Enoch File on that device or to email the file to yourself, open the email on the computer the printer is attached to, and print from there.
