Why Amounts Charged May Vary
Enoch File Premium pricing is straightforward — one price for Monthly, one for Annual, both visible during checkout. But the amount on your card statement or Paddle invoice may not match those numbers exactly. There are three reasons this happens, and none of them mean anything is wrong with your subscription.
Sales tax or VAT
Section titled “Sales tax or VAT”The most common reason for a difference is tax. Most U.S. jurisdictions charge sales tax on digital subscriptions, and many countries outside the U.S. charge VAT (value-added tax) or a similar consumption tax. Paddle calculates the correct rate based on your billing address and adds it to the plan price at checkout.
For a real example: an Annual subscriber at the standard price with a 6.75 percent tax rate would see the plan price plus roughly two dollars in tax on the invoice — the total charged is the plan price plus tax, not the plan price alone.
Proration when you switch plans
Section titled “Proration when you switch plans”When you switch from Monthly to Annual, Paddle prorates the change so you don’t lose the days remaining on your current monthly cycle. That means the amount charged on the day of the switch is slightly less than the full annual price. If you switched with about two weeks left on your current month, you’d see roughly four percent less than the full annual charge on that transaction. The next annual renewal then bills the full annual amount.
International currency and payment-method fees
Section titled “International currency and payment-method fees”If you’re outside the United States, your card issuer, bank, or payment processor may add small fees when they process the payment. The plan price is billed in U.S. dollars, so the amount that lands on your statement is subject to your bank’s exchange rate at the moment of the transaction, plus any currency-conversion or foreign-transaction fees your card carries. These fees come from your financial institution, not from Enoch File or Paddle, so we can’t quote them in advance — but they’re the reason a subscriber overseas may see a slightly higher amount than a U.S. subscriber for the same plan.
Where to see the exact breakdown
Section titled “Where to see the exact breakdown”Paddle emails you an invoice for every charge that shows the plan price, any tax, and the total. You can also pull up any past invoice at any time by going to your My Account page at enochworx.com/admin and clicking Manage Billing. That opens a Paddle-hosted portal listing every payment, with a full breakdown for each one.

If a specific charge still looks wrong after checking the invoice, drop a note to Support with the transaction date and the amount, and we’ll walk through it with you.
