What happens to the email body when I forward or mail a file to Enoch File?
Let's say the insurance adjusted sent you an important document related to some recent damage to your vehicle. You want to save the PDF, so you forward the email from your account to your Enoch File inbound email address.
When the email is received, our system saves the attachment under its original name and discards the rest. The email body is literally is ignored by our system. Unlike some companies, we don't read your email or use it to train an AI.
If the the claims adjuster said "Here's the estimate I promised you," than not retaining the email body is no big deal. If, however, the email had important information that you wanted to keep, such as details on your appointment with the body shop, there is a way to do that. Before you forward the email to your Enoch File address, append -ALL to the end of the subject line. That tells Enoch to save the body as well as the attachments.
If you use the -ALL tag, your email body will be saved as a text file, which means it may lose some formatting, but the message will still be there. The text file and the attachment(s) will be saved in a folder in the unfiled box. The folder name will be the same as your subject line.
