Setting up your file cabinet for the first time
When you first log in, the Onboarding Wizard walks you through setting up your initial cabinet. You'll be shown 14 suggested drawers (Medical, Financial, Insurance, Legal, etc.) and can select the ones that fit your life. Don't have a pet? Then skip the pet drawer. Don't worry if the name or icon isn't exactly what you want: you can always change them or create a new drawer later.

Each drawer you choose is pre-configured with an icon to help you identify it and is ready to receive your records. Click a drawer to see its folders and files. It will be empty the first time you do so, but you can upload, drag-and-drop, or import documents into it immediately. You can also click the blue "+ New Folder" button to create as many folders as you need.
We recommend you store files in folders so they are easy to organize. For example, if you are creating a drawer for your daughter Eliza's school records, you could create a folder for each grade. As she gets older, you may prefer a folder for each subject.

It's important to remember that any document you add or drag and drop will appear in the folder or drawer where you are. To import documents into Eliza's third grade folder, you must click on that folder so you are inside it before you import related documents. If you end up importing documents to the wrong location, don't worry. Just check the box to the left of the document name and use the move function, represented by the truck icon, at the top of the file list to move them to the correct location.
You can always add, rename, or remove cabinets later. To create a new cabinet, click on the Utility Menu icon and then select "New Cabinet." You can use the cabinet selector in the upper left of the screen to switch between cabinets.
