How to import files from Google Drive
Importing documents from Google Drive is a straight-forward three-step process:
Step 1: Navigate to the drawer or folder where you want the imported files to reside. We recommend creating a new folder for every import. Open the Utility Menu and click "Import from Google Drive."
Step 2: The Google account picker will appear. Choose your account (you may need to re-enter your password or confirm via 2FA). Note that you will have to do this every time you import documents. It's a Google requirement to help ensure your privacy and the safety of your documents.
Step 3: A popup will appear that shows your Google Drive folders and files. Navigate to the files you want, select them, and click the blue "Select" button. The files will upload into your current Enoch File location. You cannot import folders, only files.
Note: Files import at roughly 20 per minute, though large files take longer. The system prevents you from importing files that are already in Enoch File. If you want to copy an existing document in Enoch File, don't import it; use the 📋 copy command (clipboard icon) instead.
Super User Tip: If you have access to multiple Google Drive accounts, you can import documents from another Google account. As long as you have the password and can confirm via 2FA, the Enoch File Google Drive importer will allow you to import files from multiple Google Drive accounts. This can be useful for consolidating family data or data from multiple accounts into your Enoch File digital file cabinet.
WARNING: If you manually drag and drop files from another folder on your Google Drive into the Enoch Workspace, Enoch will not see them because of Google security restrictions. The only way to move files from other folders on your Google Drive into Enoch File is to follow the steps outlined above.
Because file import can consume large amounts of bandwidth, we don't recommend importing multiple files from Google Drive when using cellular data.
